Paul Jones is a Financial Advisor at Diamond State Financial Group. Paul’s primary emphasis is working within the pre-retiree and retiree communities and helping owners of closely held businesses develop business succession plans. He aims to help his clients secure their financial dignity for a lifetime.
Education
Paul graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, majoring in Agricultural Engineering Technology. He was registered as a Delaware Professional Engineer between 1987 and 2013. He has earned Series 7 and 66 registrations and Life, Health, and Ethics Insurance licenses. Additionally, Paul has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER(TM) certification from the CFP Board of Standards, Inc. and his Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFc) designation from the American College of Financial Services. Paul is a Registered Representative and Investment Advisor Representative of Cetera Advisor Networks LLC.
Paul is also a National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) member. In addition to more than 11 years at Diamond State Financial Group, his career has involved three years as a lecturer at the University of Delaware, 11 years with the Delaware DNREC, 17 years in private practice engineering consulting with three different firms, and seven years involved with all phases of residential and commercial real estate development.
Community
Paul volunteers throughout the year as part of DSFG’s charity initiatives, dedicating time to various charitable events. He is committed to our community through fundraisers, outreach and support to make a lasting difference.
Personal
Paul was a member of the 1972 Fighting Blue Hens National Championship Football Team and the award-winning teams of ’73 and ’74. He is active in Rotary and enjoys hunting and golf. He has been married for 53 years to the same wonderful woman and has three grown children.
